Can I get a mortgage?

No. Mortgages are not available for student rooms - it is a cash purchase or through using funds lent on another asset, such as the remortgage of another property.

Why is there no Stamp Duty?

Stamp Duty kicks in at £125,000, but all our PBSA properties are priced lower than that, so you will not pay it at all. Stamp Duty (SDLT) charges may still apply for non-UK residents.

Is the development near a university?

Yes, Axiom is located in the city centre of Stoke-on-Trent and within a mile of Staffordshire University.

Do I own the property?

Yes, after completion, you own the property. You, however, can not live in the property as these properties are specifically designed for students and do not operate as residential properties.

Can I resell my PBSA on the open market?

Yes. PBSA can be sold on the open market but must be sold as a student rental property.

What does the management fee cover?
